welcome back to the Skaject folks! today, we’re taking a look at Greetings From Skamania, the 1996 release from The Skatalites!

i will admit i dont have tons to say about the mostly instrumental records – this was a good time though!

Skalloween, the opener, is likely my favorite track on the record, though El Pussycat does have some funny and fun moments, and Pheonix City also has some great melodies and performances in it. tracks like Trip to Mars and Triangle were a blast to listen to as well.

the vocal components here were solid – the second two tracks mentioned above mostly have shoutouts, but there were a few tracks with full lyrical parts. Have a Good Time is pretty nice, and I Wish You Love is quite bittersweet.

but yeah! neat record.
